You won’t find anything about Ouija boards, or anything else that can be controlled by a person’s mental or emotional energy. These objects are associated with the lower vibrations, which are composed of emotional energies. The only values I find in these experiments are for learning to discern your unconscious influences from those of energy beings.
Let me tell you about my experiences with the Ouija board. A lifetime ago, my first wife and I were experimenting with one she had come across in a rummage sale. We encountered a force which called itself, Zot. At first, we were enthralled, until we discovered that we were being toyed with. The discovery was made when we decided to ask questions, which could easily be confirmed. We contacted the person in question and asked a few questions. To our dismay, their answers did not coincide with the answers given by Zot. Later, we discovered that numerous people had encountered Zot the comedian.
Later, decided to make another attempt, only this time we made some changes. The most important change was that we made our own Ouija board. A simple enough task, use some poster board and lay out the alphabet, numbers, and whatever symbols you wanted for yes and not. We added the symbol of the Elders from the Necronomicon (Simon, 1977). We also used an upturned brandy glass the pointer.
With anticipation, we placed our fingers lightly on the edge of the upturned glass, and away it went. I don’t recall what the entity’s name was; only that Zot was prevented from making an appearance. The information was a bit more reliable, on the surface. Later, I began doing some experiments when my wife used the board with others. Someone would ask a question, and I would focus on an answer that I knew was not true. Eventually, the glass would move in the directions I wanted, allowing me to have a bit of fun. I did this until the board asked me to leave. My wife laughed and gave me a quizzical look. Smiling, I left. Afterwards, I explained to her what I had been doing. From that time on, no Ouija board functioned properly when I was present.
That was more than fifteen years ago. A more recent encounter took place around 2008. I had given a workshop on psychometry. My friend and I were invited out for dinner the next evening by one of the attendees. After dinner, our hostess brought out, you guessed it, a Ouija board, only she called it an Angel board.
What amazes me is the idea that if you call something that is alleged to be evil something else, then it’s okay. Christians did this with pagan holidays and rituals. They Christianized them, so they could claim the participants as Christians. Well, people have taken Tarot cards, notorious for their use in fortune telling, substituted angels for the images and renamed the deck Angel cards. Their function remained the same. In this case, someone had the bright idea to rename the Ouija board an Angel board. The result was still the same. I was asked to leave.
I am not going to say that these objects are dangerous, because any time you seek out energy beings, whether they are discarnate loved ones, guides, angels, etc. you run the risk of attracting those forces that may not have an interest in guiding you along your path. Suffice it to say, if you encounter people of questionable intentions in your day to day life, you will encounter their energetic counterparts also. Keep this in mind, energy attracts similar energy. If you act in a dubious manner, you will attract those who do so as well. Set your watchers in place at all times, and rely not only on your guides, but yourself as well.

Zot has new game.

One of the most important lessons about developing mediumship, or any other of the so-called gifts, is building a foundation. When you build a house, you must first lay the foundation and the better the foundation the longer the house will stand. When you set about developing any of the mental faculties, you are strengthening the mind. Thus, you want a sound foundation on which to build.
Clairvoyance, healing, and perhaps even remote viewing and telepathy are natural functions of the mind. They are no different from learning math, language, or any other school subject. Sometimes these faculties are functioning when people are born, other times they are developed. We call people who come by math or music virtuosos, or geniuses. When it comes to these other skills, we call them prophets, oracles, angels, and a host of more elaborate terms. For these skills to be useful, the individual must possess some discipline. Discipline, while often overlooked, is an essential factor in developing any skill.
So, how do I lay this foundation?
Meditation changes the mind and modifies the brain’s function. The wandering mind begins to spend more time in the present, and the programming of the brain changes. This age-old practice allows the body to maintain its balance .
All things rise and fall within the mind . Therefore, we must learn to recognize what is rising from the mind. For us to do this, we must learn to discern. Within the mind, we have the ability to create and to destroy. Mediumship is about communicating with those in Life’s Other Room. This means we have to learn to separate our voice from that of spirits, energy beings, and our own.
Many of us are impressed with images from Spirit, it goes without saying that a picture is worth a thousand words. In order to see clearly with our mind’s eye – clairvoyance is clear seeing – we must learn to visualize. Well, the best way to develop your visualizing skill is developing your imagination.
Yeah, right, anybody can use his or her imagination.
You’re right. Anybody can imagine, but can that person do it well? Can you do it well? Can you imagine the bark of a tree? Can you see the peaks and valleys that make up its texture?
Why do you have to imagine anything at all?
Well, if you are any good at imagining, then chances of you recalling more of what you are impressed with increases. In addition, while you sit in meditation, you will see images that will lead you to many places. Many of the Ancient teachers inform us that many invisible realms exists , just as many string theorists suggest that there eleven dimensions . Developing our mediumship allows us to touch these dimensions; at least, I like to think so.
While science appears to be beyond the realm of the most people’s interests, it does affect them. Sometimes, as in this case, science provides a possible explanation of how some of the more discouraged faculties operate, and what is experienced. For now, we are interested in how to begin to develop these misunderstood faculties of the brain and mind.

We suggested that premonitions occur when information in the form of energy bursts upon the quantum field. Many of the phases of mediumship depend upon information getting into the quantum field, or the field of information. However, these announcements may be tied to a trigger of some sort. Psychometry is one aspect of mediumship that is dependent on something capturing the information and then releasing it to an inquirer. Newspapers hold information that is purposefully injected into them. When a person reads the headlines and articles, the information is released into the brain.
Psychometry is about energy being imprinted upon an object. Articles such as rings, watches, worry stones, etc. absorb different frequencies of energy. Energy frequencies are composed of emotions, thoughts, actions, and may include events, which are entangled in the various levels of consciousness. Our sensitivity to these frequencies is conditional to our level of development.
We are in the habit of saying people are gifted, or possess talent, which frequently goes to waste. Gifts that go undeveloped are worthless to yourself, and to others. Skills are beneficial to all. The only way to develop a skill is to practice it regularly, or at the very least at every opportunity.
Learning to meditate is not necessary, but it is helpful. The ability to quiet your mind allows the energy to permeate the brain so that its various filters may separate the entangled impressions into something sensible. So, ask a friend if you may hold a personal article, such as a ring, or keys. Money is too impersonal and is handled by too many people. After you have developed some skill, you may attempt to separate your friend’s vibrational energy for others. For now, close your eyes, or leave them open if you prefer, and try to quiet your mind.
What happens when you are able to quiet the mind? Images begin to form. Of course, we automatically dismiss them as daydreams, but daydreaming is a talent that most of us do not hone. If you ignore the images, that’s okay, because there is more. How do you feel? Do you feel sad, happy, angry, indifferent, etc. because if you do, then you are interpreting the emotional field.
Don’t stop now, there’s more. What kind of thoughts are you receiving? Do they appear to be your thoughts? If not your own, then whose thoughts are they? My friend, you are interpreting the mental field. Next comes the scary part. Tell your friend what is being impressed upon you. Describe in as much detail as you can what you see, hear, smell, and feel. When you share your experience, you grow. Development is in the sharing.
Psychometry is often used as a parlor trick, but it can be so much more. If you are a reader, try a bit of Psychometry when you start the reading, or if you find that you have stopped receiving. Do you like crystals? If so, they can be fun to practice with. One of the first applications of psychometry was the history of stones and fossils. Since then, it has become much more. How much more Psychometry can be is up to you.
